Southern Championship Trail – High Rock Results – Jan. 8, 2011

January 10, 2011

Participants in our first 2011 tournament this past Saturday were greeted with a chilly 24 degree morning along with 20-mile and winds and icy conditions at High Rock Lake. The lake was down about six feet on January 8th and the fish weren’t easy to wrestle up in the cold. Despite the rough weather Andy Nix and Carty Sealey took first place bringing in a bag of four fish that weighed in at 7.90 pounds. The pair also won big fish of the day with a 2.67 pound bass. They walked away with $480 in prize money total. Derck Tolley and Terry Trivette took second with a one fish bag and 1.96 pounds. A one fish 1.63 pound bag brought in by Bruce Dehart and Bryan Dehart took third place. Thanks to all those who braved the elements for a fun day of fishing.. and for those who couldn’t make it because of the winter weather.. we missed you and we’ll see you next time! Also, a reminder to anyone shooting for Points Champion this trail, you can throw out your lowest event.
