Buzz Dunlap and Pete Morris won with 31.38 lbs over both days!
DAY 1 BADIN OCT 30/2010
It was a chilly and foggy start to day one of the Southern Champioinship Fishing Trail’s Champion’s Tournament weekend. By weigh in time at Badin, the sun was shining and the competition was fierce. Buzz Dunlap and Pete Morris brought in the biggest bag of the day which tipped the scales at 22.48lbs. For Jason Riggs and Darrell Crumbly 13.85lbs was enough to secure a second place finish. 12.17lbs by Jeremy Talbert and Tod Haynes took third place for the day. Mike Kinard and Travis Williams wrangled 9.95lbs to take fourth. Eight boats participated on day one totalling 77.11lbs all together.
DAY 2 HIGH ROCK
Day two of the tournament also started off foggy at High Rock Lake. Mike Kinard and Travis Williams had the biggest bag of the day at 16.62lbs. Richard Crayton got second place with 13.74lbs. 10.34lbs brought in by Mark Weaver and Mike Justice took third place for the day. A disqualification was handed out to Jeremy Talbert and Tod Haynes for being 10 minutes late to the weigh in deadline becuase of mechanical issues.
For the entire two-day Tounament, first place and $1000 went to Buzz Dunlap and Pete Morris who’s total for the weekend equaled 31.38lbs. Dunlap and Morris also snagged $200 for big fish of the tounament. 26.57lbs, brought in by Mike Kinard and Travis Williams took second place and $400. 3-D Landscapings provided lunch for all participants. Trophy’s were given out for the season as well. Richard Crayton and Shaun Miller earned the title of Points Champions for the summer trail taking home $200. Crayton and Miller were also awarded a trophey for Biggest Bag of the Season which was 25.67lbs brought in at Badin. Bruce and Bryan Dehart won a trophey for the biggest fish of the season with an 8.16lb hog. Congratulations guys!
